Tim Cleasby and Maria Camilleri Sandu officially took up their respective roles as Club Captain and Lady Captain of the Royal Malta Golf Club for the 2026/27 season during the club’s traditional Captains’ Drive-In ceremony.

The event, attended by club members, family and friends, saw both captains perform their ceremonial opening drives to mark the beginning of their term in office.

The ceremony followed the club’s Annual General Meeting, during which Chairman Paul Stoner outlined an ambitious five-year vision for the Royal Malta Golf Club.

The proposed plans included improvements to the clubhouse, investment in modern machinery and further development of the golf course, aimed at enhancing the club’s facilities.

During the meeting, Susan Wibrew, Andrea Hamilton Hill and Kim Borg were also recognised as Honorary Members in appreciation of their contributions to the club.

The appointments marked the beginning of a new season for the Royal Malta Golf Club as it continued to pursue its long-term development plans.
