Senglea Gunners claimed their second trophy of the 2026/27 season after defeating Naxxar Victorians 1-0 in the MAFA Twanny Agius Fair Play Cup final at the Marsaxlokk Ground on Saturday.

Nehemiah Perry proved decisive once again, scoring the only goal of the match in the 16th minute. Senglea maintained their narrow advantage until the final whistle to retain the trophy they won last season.

The victory follows their recent 2-0 triumph over Marsa St Michael in the Joe Compagno Cup, when Perry also scored both goals.

Under coach Glenn Vassallo, Senglea have made an excellent start to the new campaign, securing two trophies in as many finals.

At the end of the match, members of the Agius family, in the presence of MAFA’s top officials, presented the trophies and medals. The ceremony culminated in the presentation of the cup to Senglea Gunners captain Lamin Ceesay.
