Malta will be looking to make it three consecutive victories when they take on Liechtenstein in their UEFA Nations League campaign.

Malta began their Nations League campaign with an impressive 2-1 comeback victory away to Andorra. The hosts took the lead, but goals from Saint-Étienne forward Irvin Cardona and former Stade de Reims attacking midfielder Teddy Teuma turned the match in Malta’s favour.

Liechtenstein, meanwhile, are enduring a difficult spell and have struggled for results in recent years. Their 2-0 defeat to Lithuania in their Nations League opener extended their losing run to 15 consecutive matches, underlining the challenge facing the side.

Malta could make a number of changes to their starting line-up with another fixture against Gibraltar coming up in a few days. However, despite any possible rotation, Malta remain firm favourites to claim all three points.

The Maltese side will also be aiming to build on their recent victories over Azerbaijan and Andorra and maintain their positive momentum with another win against Liechtenstein.
