AC Milan have completed the signing of Portugal international Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain in a club-record transfer, the Serie A side announced on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old forward arrives after a successful spell in France and becomes the most expensive player in Milan’s history. The Rossoneri hope Ramos will strengthen their attacking options as they prepare for the new season.

AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Portugal international Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year contract, both clubs announced on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old forward has agreed a deal running until June 30, 2031. A source indicated the transfer is valued at around €74 million, rising to €90 million with performance-related bonuses, making it a club-record fee for the Italian side.

In a statement, AC Milan welcomed Ramos to the club and wished him success in his new chapter with the Rossoneri. Milan finished fifth in Serie A last season.

Ramos is currently representing Portugal at the World Cup and will link up at club level with compatriot and newly appointed Milan head coach Ruben Amorim.

Milan’s previous record signing was fellow Portuguese forward Rafael Leão, who joined from Lille in 2019 for €49.5 million, according to Transfermarkt. Meanwhile, the Serie A record transfer remains Cristiano Ronaldo’s €117 million move from Real Madrid to Juventus in 2018.

Ramos scored 45 goals in 131 appearances across three seasons for Paris Saint-Germain, with many of those outings coming as a substitute.

During his time in France, he helped PSG win three Ligue 1 titles as well as two Coupe de France trophies. Prior to his move to Paris, he also enjoyed domestic success with Benfica, winning the Portuguese league.

In a statement, PSG thanked the forward for his professionalism, commitment, and contribution to the club’s achievements, and wished him success for the rest of his career.
