The Phoenix Suns have re-signed guard Collin Gillespie to a four-year, $48 million contract after teams were allowed to begin negotiations with their own players last weekend.

Gillespie, 26, is coming off the most productive season of his career, averaging 12.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds while playing 28.5 minutes per game.

The former Villanova standout has finally established himself in the NBA after an unsuccessful stint with the Denver Nuggets during the 2023–24 season. He later joined the Phoenix Suns the following year, where he initially averaged 5.9 points across 33 games, including nine starts.

Gillespie has since developed into a reliable NBA guard and an important part of the Suns’ backcourt heading into the new season. Last season, he recorded 20 or more points in 10 of his 58 starts (80 games), highlighted by a career-best 30 points alongside 10 assists against the Portland Trail Blazers on February 3.

Phoenix ended the season with a 45–37 record before being swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
