Sliema Wanderers face Ħamrun Spartans in the Malta Premier League in what promises to be a closely contested encounter between two sides separated by just one point in the standings.

Sliema Wanderers occupy second place with 17 points, while Ħamrun Spartans sit fifth on 16 points, making this an important fixture for both teams as they look to strengthen their positions in the league.

Both sides head into the match in positive spirits after recording important victories in their previous outings. Sliema Wanderers secured a win against Marsaxlokk, while Ħamrun Spartans claimed an impressive victory over league leaders Valletta. These results should provide both teams with confidence ahead of what is expected to be a competitive encounter.

Historically, Sliema Wanderers have enjoyed a relatively balanced rivalry with Ħamrun Spartans, having recorded 17 victories in 34 league meetings between the two clubs.

With both teams coming off victories and little separating them in the standings, the match could prove difficult to call. A closely fought contest is expected, with a 1-1 draw being the predicted result.
