Dominik Szoboszlai reportedly signs new long-term Liverpool contract

Dominik Szoboszlai has reportedly committed his long-term future to Liverpool, signing a new contract following months of negotiations between the club and the midfielder’s representatives.

The new agreement is seen as a significant boost for the Reds as they continue preparations for a new era under head coach Andoni Iraola. The extension reportedly reflects the club’s belief that Szoboszlai will remain one of the cornerstones of the squad for years to come.

The Hungary international enjoyed the most productive campaign of his career last season, scoring 13 goals in all competitions. His performances earned him Liverpool’s Player of the Season award despite the club enduring a disappointing campaign without silverware.

Since arriving at Anfield, Szoboszlai has made 147 appearances across all competitions, registering 28 goals and 26 assists. His creativity, work rate and leadership have established him as one of the club’s most influential players, making his contract renewal a major priority.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder has signed a four-year contract extension that will keep him at Liverpool until June 2031.

Romano posted on social media:

“Dominik Szoboszlai’s new contract at Liverpool has been signed today. All done.

Agreement until June 2031. Szoboszlai will enter #LFC top earners and official statement will follow soon.”

Away from the contract news, Liverpool have also strengthened their squad during the summer transfer window with the arrivals of Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes and Victor Munoz from Osasuna.

The Merseyside club are also expected to remain active in the market, with reports suggesting they are searching for a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah. Adding a top-quality winger is believed to be one of the club’s key objectives as they aim to challenge for major honours next season.
