PSG Winger Kvaratskhelia Undergoes Successful Surgery After Suffering ACL Tear

Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has undergone successful surgery in Doha after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee, the French club confirmed on Tuesday. The operation came a day after the Georgian international finished sixth in the 2026 Ballon d’Or rankings.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury during PSG’s 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona last week. Kvaratskhelia twisted his right knee and was forced to leave the pitch with assistance shortly before the hour mark.
“He will now begin his rehabilitation,” PSG said in an official statement.
ACL injuries generally require at least six months of recovery, meaning Kvaratskhelia could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
