Lucas Alexandrini Barcik scored a first-half hat-trick as Oratory Youths defeated Għarb Rangers 4-1 in the preliminary round of the GFA Second Division Knock-Out competition at the Gozo Stadium on Wednesday.
Barcik opened the scoring after nine minutes and struck again just a minute later to give Oratory a commanding early advantage.
He completed his hat-trick in the 41st minute before Dalton Alexandre Roque Pereira added a fourth during first-half stoppage time.
Għarb had an opportunity to reduce the deficit from the penalty spot in the 70th minute. Andrew Ofulue Chukwuwinke saw his spot-kick saved but converted the rebound to make the final score 4-1.
