Dutch international Crysencio Summerville has officially completed a move from West Ham United to Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal.

The 24-year-old winger has signed a four-year deal with the Saudi club, with West Ham reportedly receiving £65 million (€76 million) for the transfer. Summerville recently earned his senior Netherlands debut in a friendly match against Algeria ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Having represented the Netherlands on six occasions, Summerville’s departure ranks as the third-highest transfer sale in West Ham’s history. Only Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes, who joined Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer, were sold for higher fees.

For Al Hilal, the acquisition marks one of the biggest signings in the club’s history. Summerville now becomes the second-most expensive player ever purchased by the Saudi champions, with only Neymar’s €90 million move in 2023 costing the club more.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Summerville is expected to earn up to €17 million net per season under his new contract with Al Hilal. Over the course of the four-year deal, his total earnings could reach €68 million.

Before completing the move to Saudi Arabia, the Dutch international attracted interest from both Roma and Manchester United. Roma were reportedly the closest challengers, submitting multiple offers worth up to €45 million and coming close to persuading the winger to join the Serie A club.

Summerville enjoyed a productive 2025–26 Premier League campaign with West Ham, scoring five goals and registering two assists in 31 league appearances. He joined the London club from Leeds United in 2024 for a reported €29.3 million.

The 24-year-old also impressed on the international stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, contributing two goals and two assists in just four matches, despite playing only 253 minutes throughout the tournament.
