Everton have confirmed the permanent signing of English forward Tyrique George from Chelsea, with the 20-year-old committing to a four-year contract after a successful loan spell during the second half of last season.

While neither club revealed the financial terms of the transfer, British media reports said the deal could be worth as much as £24 million ($32 million).

George featured in 11 Premier League matches for Everton after arriving on loan from Chelsea on the final day of the January transfer window.

“I’m delighted to be back at Everton,” George said in a club statement. “I really enjoyed my loan spell here last season, and once I knew there was a chance to return permanently, it was the only move I wanted to make.”

A graduate of Chelsea’s academy, George earned his first-team breakthrough in 2024 and went on to make 37 appearances for the London side before completing his move to Everton.

His arrival continues Everton’s busy transfer window, following the signing of midfielder Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough and the permanent acquisition of Merlin Rohl, who impressed during a loan spell from Freiburg last season.
