Nani reaches 750 career appearances in remarkable milestone
Portugal’s Euro 2016 winner Nani has reached an incredible 750 career appearances, achieving the landmark while playing for FK Aktobe and extending a professional career that has now surpassed two decades.
The milestone adds another remarkable chapter to a career that has seen the Portuguese winger win 17 major trophies and establish himself as one of the most decorated players of his generation.
Among the standout honours in Nani’s collection are the European Championship, a Champions League title and four Premier League trophies, all achieved during his highly successful spell with Manchester United.
At club level, Nani has made 638 appearances and scored 133 goals, representing teams across four different continents: Europe, North America, Oceania and Asia.
His journey began in Portugal, where he played for Sporting CP and Estrela da Amadora, before making his move to England and becoming a key figure at Manchester United.
Nani later continued his career with Valencia in Spain, Lazio and Venezia in Italy, Orlando City in the United States, Fenerbahce and Adana Demirspor in Turkey, and Melbourne Victory in Australia.
The winger’s international career has also been hugely impressive.
Nani made 112 appearances for Portugal and scored 24 goals, placing him among the most-capped and highest-scoring players in the history of the national team. He currently ranks sixth for appearances and ninth on Portugal’s all-time goalscoring list.
His greatest international achievement came in 2016, when he helped Portugal win the European Championship in France. Nani played a significant role throughout the tournament as Portugal secured their first major international title.
Despite reaching another major career milestone, Nani is not ready to call time on his playing days.
The 39-year-old remains an active professional with FK Aktobe, where he is contracted until December 2026.
With 750 appearances now behind him, Nani continues to add to a remarkable football legacy that has stretched across more than 20 years, four continents and some of the biggest clubs in the game.
