Gary Carr secures Malta national team spot after victory over Philip Coleiro
Gary Carr secured a place in the Malta national team after defeating Philip Coleiro in the final of the fifth ranking tournament organised by the Malta Blackball Pool Federation, a competition forming part of the preparations for the 2026 WPA World Championships in London.
In the men’s final, Carr defeated Coleiro 10-6 to claim the Tour 5 title following a competitive encounter between the two players.
The victory also earned Carr a place in Malta’s Men’s A National Team, which will represent the country at the World Championships in London.
Carr’s success adds another achievement to his campaign and sees him secure his place among the players selected to represent Malta on the international stage.
