Highly rated Under-19 national team goalkeeper Jayden Farrugia has committed his long-term future to his boyhood club, signing his first professional contract with Mosta FC.

The landmark agreement rewards the young shot-stopper for his exceptional progression through the Mosta FC Youth Academy and underscores the club’s unwavering strategy to invest in elite local talent.

Farrugia is widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in modern Maltese football. Despite his youth, he has already earned significant first-team recognition.

During the 24/25 campaign, Farrugia dominated headlines across the island by breaking two national records recognized by The Malta Records:

• Multi-Competition Milestone: At just 17 years old, he became the youngest player in Maltese football history to feature in seven high-level competitions in a single season (including the U17 and Minors Section A/Knock-Out tournaments, the Malta Premier League, the FA Trophy, and UEFA U17 European Qualifiers).
