Jannik Sinner set to return at Rescheduled six Kings Slam in December

Jannik Sinner set for six Kings Slam return after tournament Rescheduled to December
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is set to return to action at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia after organisers rescheduled the exhibition tournament from October to December due to security concerns.
The Italian star, who won the previous two editions of the lucrative event, had announced earlier this month that he would not compete again in 2026 as he continued recovering from a knee injury that has kept him sidelined since his Wimbledon triumph in July.
Sinner’s decision had ruled him out of the European indoor hard-court season and the ATP Finals in Turin, where he has also claimed the title in each of the past two years.
Six Kings Slam Rescheduled for December
The Six Kings Slam, a non-ATP exhibition tournament, was originally scheduled to take place in Riyadh from October 21 to 24. However, organisers have moved the event to December 27–30 following security concerns in the region.
The rescheduling comes amid wider sporting disruptions linked to the security situation. The Dakar Rally was moved away from Saudi Arabia, while the Saudi International golf tournament was postponed indefinitely.
Despite the change in dates, the Six Kings Slam remains one of the most financially rewarding exhibition events in tennis, attracting some of the sport’s biggest names.
Sinner and Alcaraz Set for Another Showdown
Sinner has dominated the previous two editions of the Six Kings Slam, defeating Spanish rival Carlos Alcaraz in both finals. Each victory earned the Italian a reported $6 million prize, highlighting the enormous financial appeal of the exhibition.
The upcoming tournament is also expected to feature an impressive lineup, with Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur joining Sinner and Alcaraz.
With several of the world’s leading players on the expected roster, the rescheduled event will provide another opportunity for tennis fans to watch elite competition in Riyadh.
However, Sinner’s return comes against the backdrop of his previously announced plans to sit out the remainder of the 2026 season, making his participation in December an important development to watch.
