Laferla and St Andrews FC Malta begin three-year platinum partnership

St Andrews FC Malta have announced a new three-season Platinum Partnership with Laferla, running from the 2026/27 season through to the end of the 2028/29 campaign.
The agreement sees Laferla become the club’s main sponsor and represents one of the most significant commercial partnerships in St Andrews FC Malta’s recent history.
The partnership brings together two established Maltese organisations with a shared focus on community, people and long-term development.
St Andrews FC Malta have invested in their community and youth development for decades, while Laferla has been serving Maltese families since 1984. Both organisations have strong roots within the communities they serve, with the three-year agreement reflecting their commitment to building a relationship beyond a single season.
For Laferla, the partnership forms part of its commitment to remaining close to the people it serves. For St Andrews FC Malta, the agreement represents the backing of one of Malta’s established insurance companies and a partner whose approach to long-term development closely matches that of the club.
“What drew us to St Andrews FC Malta is how much we have in common,” said Matthew Formosa, Head of Marketing at Laferla.
“This is a club that invests in its people and its young players for the long term, not just for results on the day, and that is how Laferla has worked since 1984. Backing the club for three seasons is our way of standing with a community that shares our values.”
St Andrews FC Malta President Capt. Nigel James Dunkerley welcomed the agreement, describing it as the beginning of a long-term relationship rather than a single-season arrangement.
“We are delighted to welcome Laferla to St Andrews FC Malta as our Platinum Partner, and to begin what we see as a genuine, long-term journey together rather than a single-season arrangement,” said Dunkerley.
“This is a partnership built on shared values, on a common belief in investing in people over the long run, and on a commitment to the communities we both serve. Laferla’s support will be felt across our players, our parents, and our coaching staff for seasons to come, and we are proud to carry the Laferla name alongside ours as we continue to grow this Club.”
The three-year partnership will cover the 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 seasons, providing St Andrews FC Malta with continued support as the club develops its players, coaching structures and wider community initiatives.
