Luis Enrique Admits Ramos Deserved More Game Time at PSG
Netherlands World Cup striker Wout Weghorst has left AFC Ajax to join FC Twente, both clubs confirmed on Saturday.
The 33-year-old, currently part of the Netherlands squad as a backup striker at the World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, has signed a two-year deal with his new club, despite yet to feature in the tournament.
FC Twente technical director Erik ten Hag expressed his delight at the signing, highlighting Weghorst’s professionalism and mentality.
“We are incredibly proud that Wout Weghorst is coming to play for FC Twente,” he said.
“This transfer is a fantastic opportunity for us. He is the consummate professional and the perfect example of what you can achieve as a footballer when you are willing to give it your all,” Ten Hag added.
