Tottenham’s busy summer transfer campaign continues with the club confirming the signing of Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush on an initial season-long loan.

The agreement includes an obligation for Tottenham to make the move permanent at the end of the season, meaning Marmoush could become a permanent Spurs player if the agreed conditions are met.

The 27-year-old follows his Manchester City teammate Savinho to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the Brazilian having completed his own move to the north London club recently.

Marmoush becomes the latest addition to an increasingly impressive Tottenham squad. Spurs have also brought in Savinho, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, Martin Dubravka, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali during a busy summer transfer window.

Marmoush said he is thrilled to join Tottenham and is eager to begin working with his new teammates and meet the club’s supporters.

“It feels amazing to be here. I’m so excited to get started with the team, and I can’t wait to meet the fans,” he said.

The forward also praised Tottenham’s stature and admitted the club’s ambitious project played a major role in his decision to make the move.

“I’ve spoken with the Head Coach, I loved what he had to say, and I’m sure our passion for the game will go very well together,” Marmoush added.

The Egypt international arrives in London after spending 18 months with Manchester City, where he made 62 appearances, scoring 16 goals and registering six assists.
