Mika Godts Completes €55 Million Move from Ajax to Paris Saint-Germain

Belgian winger Mika Godts has officially completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain from Ajax in a €55 million transfer, with both clubs confirming the deal on Saturday.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the French champions, committing his future to the Parisian club until 2031.
Godts joined Ajax from Belgian side Gent in 2023 and quickly established himself as an important part of the Amsterdam club’s squad. He became a regular starter under Francesco Farioli during the 2024/25 campaign, contributing six goals and assists as Ajax finished second in the league.
The Belgian winger took his performances to another level in the 2025/26 season, earning league MVP honours after producing an impressive 17 goals and 13 assists.
During his time in Amsterdam, Godts made 115 senior appearances for Ajax, scoring 26 goals and registering 24 assists across all competitions.
The move to Paris Saint-Germain represents the biggest step of Godts’ young career, with the winger now set to continue his development at one of Europe’s leading clubs.
“I feel incredibly proud to be joining one of the best clubs in the world,” Godts said on PSG’s official club website.
“I can’t wait to put on this shirt and experience the Parc des Princes and its supporters. I’ll give my all on the pitch to repay the faith placed in me by President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Luis Campos and coach Luis Enrique.”
‘We are going to miss him tremendously’
Godts had been the subject of negotiations between Ajax and PSG since late July. The Dutch club rejected several offers from the Parisian side as they initially held out for a €60 million fee.
However, the two clubs eventually reached an agreement worth €55 million, with the majority of the transfer fee set to be paid upfront by PSG.
In Paris, Godts will face strong competition for a place in the attack from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Maghnes Akliouche, who joined PSG from Monaco on August 6.
Bradley Barcola, meanwhile, is expected to leave the French champions, with Liverpool reportedly the most likely destination.
Ajax director Jordi Cruyff said Godts’ move to Paris Saint-Germain was almost inevitable following his impressive 2025/26 campaign.
“Mika is an excellent player with very specific qualities, and we are going to miss him tremendously. We did not want to lose him and would have preferred to keep him here for at least another season. However, when you perform at Ajax at such a high level, clubs of this calibre come knocking,” Cruyff said.
“PSG have won the UEFA Champions League in each of the past two seasons and are the reigning champions of France. Mika now has the opportunity to join one of the absolute top clubs in world football. He has earned this transfer because he has helped Ajax enormously through his performances, goals, and assists.
“We have thanked him warmly for everything he has done for the club and wished him every success in the next stage of his career.”
