Sirius let lead slip against Bromma Boys while Vasteras stun Djurgarden

Brommapojkarna ended a seven-game winless run in the Allsvenskan by fighting back from two goals down to earn a point against runaway leaders Sirius, while Vasteras stunned Djurgarden to avenge last week’s heavy defeat.
Sirius 2-2 Brommapojkarna
Sirius were without leading scorer Robbie Ure, who had been allowed to travel to Spain ahead of an expected move to Sevilla. However, the league leaders initially showed little sign of missing their star striker.
They took the lead in the 17th minute when August Ljungberg held the ball up before setting up Victor Svensson, who fired a low effort into the bottom corner from more than 20 yards.
Sirius doubled their advantage midway through the first half. A poor clearance fell to Melker Heier, who quickly sent the ball forward to Isak Bjerkebo. The forward brought it under control, escaped his marker and produced a composed finish to make it 2-0.
However, Sirius’ defensive shortcomings quickly gave Brommapojkarna a route back into the contest. Just two minutes later, Oliver Zanden won possession from Mohamed Soumah before beating David Celic from a tight angle.
The visitors completed their comeback soon afterwards. A failed attempt to clear a cross fell to Obilor Okeke at the far post, and he cut inside before drilling the ball into the bottom corner.
That completed a remarkable four-goal spell in just 11 minutes.
Sirius dominated the second half in terms of shots and efforts on target, but they were unable to find a winner. The absence of Ure may have been felt as the hosts lacked their usual cutting edge, allowing the Bromma Boys to hold on for a valuable point.
Sirius remain unbeaten but have now dropped points for only the third time in 16 league matches. Their advantage at the top has been reduced from 14 points to 12, while Brommapojkarna moved five points clear of the relegation zone.
Vasteras 1-0 Djurgarden
Just seven days after suffering a humiliating 6-0 defeat to Djurgarden, Vasteras produced the perfect response by securing a narrow home victory over the same opponents.
Djurgarden, who had gone five matches unbeaten since the summer break, appeared to have the upper hand following their emphatic win in the reverse fixture. However, Vasteras made sure there would be no repeat of that result.
The hosts took the lead midway through the first half when Mattias Hellisdal delivered a dangerous free-kick, which Bonaventure Lendambi met with a powerful header to put Vasteras in front.
Vasteras then adopted a defensive approach after the interval. They failed to register a single shot in the second half but successfully protected their slender advantage.
Djurgarden struggled to break down the deep defensive block and could not find a way past goalkeeper Elis Jager, who helped secure a crucial clean sheet.
The victory lifts Vasteras to sixth place and marks their third consecutive home win without conceding. Djurgarden remain third despite suffering their first defeat in six matches.
