Challenge League side St Lucia are expected to strengthen their squad significantly ahead of the upcoming season, with the club reportedly preparing for an ambitious recruitment campaign following a disappointing campaign last year.
After finishing in the bottom eight positions, St Lucia appear determined to bounce back strongly and push for promotion in the new season. Sources close to the club suggest that the management is keen to bring in experienced and proven players capable of making an immediate impact.
It is understood that St Lucia are targeting footballers with extensive experience in both the Premier League and the Challenge League as they aim to build a more competitive squad.
Among the names currently being linked with the club are Paul Lapira, Revees Cini, Steve Bezzina and Daniel Agius, while several other players are also believed to be on the club’s shortlist.
Club officials are expected to remain very active in the transfer market over the coming weeks as preparations continue for what promises to be an important season for St Lucia.
Supporters will now be hoping that the anticipated arrivals can help transform the team into genuine promotion contenders and restore optimism around the club ahead of the new campaign.
