Floriana Young Stars host second Walking Hockey event in Malta

Following the success of the first Walking Hockey event held in Malta in May, Floriana Young Stars Hockey Club organised a second edition over the weekend, which saw a significant increase in participation.
While the inaugural event welcomed 20 participants, this latest edition attracted 45 players, divided into six teams. Due to the increased numbers, two pitches were used simultaneously, with a league format followed by semi-finals and a final.
Walking Hockey is a slower-paced version of the game designed to make hockey more accessible to people of all ages and abilities. The event brought together former players, younger participants, and individuals who had never played hockey before.

A particularly notable aspect of the day was the return of former players who had stepped away from the sport due to injuries, allowing them to once again enjoy the game in a safe and social environment.
