Andre Cassar emerged as the overall winner of the third edition of the MSSF Skeet Competition 50+50+25 (T3), held at the Malta National Shooting Ranges in Siġġiewi on Sunday.

Cassar delivered a consistent performance throughout the event, finishing with a winning score of 115 out of 125 targets.

Liam Sciberras secured second place with an impressive 113/125, while Clive Farrugia completed the podium in third place with a score of 110/125.

The competition featured a demanding format in which all participants initially shot at 50 targets. The four athletes with the highest scores then advanced to a second round of another 50 targets, while the remaining shooters were eliminated.

After the first 100 targets, the athlete with the lowest score was eliminated, leaving the top three competitors to contest a final round of 25 targets.

At the 100-target stage, Cassar was already leading the field with 92/100, narrowly ahead of Sciberras on 91/100. Farrugia occupied third place with 87/100, while Joseph Muscat was eliminated after scoring 80/100.

Sciberras topped the Class A standings after the opening 50 targets with an excellent 47/50, followed by Cassar on 46/50 and Farrugia on 45/50.

In Class B, Joseph Muscat led the way with 43/50, while Mikaela Galea followed closely behind with 42/50.

The Malta Shooting Sport Federation’s next event will be the All Malta – 6th Skeet Selection Shoot 2026, scheduled to take place on August 8 and 9 at the Malta National Shooting Ranges in Siġġiewi.
