Ollie Watkins is reportedly close to ending his time at Aston Villa, with the England international set to join Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

It has already been a busy summer for Unai Emery’s team, with several key players, including Morgan Rogers, Ezri Konsa and Youri Tielemans, departing the club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Watkins is now expected to become the latest Villa player to leave after an agreement was reached with Al Hilal.

Aston Villa are understood to have agreed a £52 million fee for the striker, who has reportedly been keen to complete the transfer since becoming aware of Al Hilal’s interest.

Watkins leaves Aston Villa as one of the Premier League’s most dependable strikers, having scored 91 goals in 221 league appearances for the club.

His impending departure comes shortly after Aston Villa agreed a club-record deal to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Unai Emery’s side will reportedly pay an initial £47.5 million for Jackson, with additional add-ons potentially taking the total value of the transfer to £65 million.
