The third weekend of the Malta Handball Association’s 2026/27 season produced another series of competitive encounters across the men’s, women’s and youth competitions.

In the Men’s Championship League, HMS registered a comfortable 31-16 victory over Team Haier on Saturday, dominating proceedings to secure a convincing 15-goal winning margin.

Hawks Wurth were also victorious, although they faced a much sterner challenge against Eagles in one of the weekend’s closest encounters.

In a high-scoring contest, Hawks Wurth edged their opponents 36-33 to claim an important victory.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Championship League, Eagles EBHS Malta produced a strong performance to defeat HMS 29-17, securing a comprehensive 12-goal success.

The youth competitions also provided plenty of action, with several teams continuing their campaigns in the Under-15 Cup competitions.

In the U15 Boys’ Cup, Phoenix CCPS Malta defeated Aloysians HC 4-1 on Saturday, while La Salle and Kavallieri shared the spoils following a 3-3 draw on Sunday.

In the U15 Girls’ Cup, Kavallieri recorded a 4-2 victory over Phoenix EBHS Malta to complete the weekend’s programme.

With the season still in its early stages, the results are beginning to shape the respective competitions as teams seek to establish themselves over the coming weeks.
