Castaldi and Pisani to battle for First National Title
Chaylon Castaldi and Ryan Pisani will meet in the final of the 2026 Malta Blackball Championship after both players won their respective semi-finals yesterday evening at the Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara.
Castaldi, representing Hamrun 147, continued to make history after defeating Mevrick Zammit 9-6 in the first semi-final. At just 18 years of age, Castaldi became the youngest player ever to reach the final of this championship.
In the second semi-final, Ryan Pisani produced a dominant performance to beat Nordai Desira 9-2 and secure his place in the final.
The final will therefore feature two players who will both be aiming to win the national title for the first time in their careers.
The final will be played today at 7pm at the Malta Blackball Federation premises at the Juventus Club in Birkirkara and will be broadcast live on TVM Sport+.
