Champions Floriana will face Hamrun Spartans this evening in a highly anticipated VBet Malta Premier encounter, with kick-off scheduled for 6.30pm.

Floriana will be looking to respond to Marsaxlokk’s impressive victory over Valletta yesterday, a result which has temporarily moved the South Eastern side to the top of the league standings.

The Greens have made a perfect start to the new campaign, collecting maximum points from their opening two matches. Their positive momentum will be put to the test against a Hamrun Spartans side eager to bounce back from a narrow defeat to Birkirkara in their previous league outing.

For Hamrun, this could be the ideal opportunity to get their season up and running. The Spartans, coached by Marco Amelia, have endured a disappointing start, suffering defeats in both of their opening two matches. A positive result against the reigning champions would therefore provide a much-needed boost and could prove to be a turning point in their campaign.

Floriana, meanwhile, will enter the match full of confidence following their excellent start. They will be keen to maintain their winning momentum and continue their challenge at the top of the table.

With both sides having plenty to prove, this encounter promises to be an entertaining and exciting affair. Floriana will be aiming to strengthen their position among the leaders, while Hamrun will be desperate to register their first points of the season.

A lively contest filled with attacking football, chances and, hopefully, goals is expected when these two Maltese giants meet this evening.
