Ħamrun Spartans sign Italian forward Marcello Trotta
Ħamrun Spartans have strengthened their squad with the signing of experienced Italian forward Marcello Trotta.
The 33-year-old striker brings with him a wealth of experience from Italian and English football, having represented clubs including Fulham, Brentford, Ascoli and Frosinone during his career.
Trotta also represented Italy at Under-21 level, making nine appearances for the national youth team and scoring three goals.
The Italian forward is expected to add further experience and attacking options to the Spartans’ squad under the guidance of head coach Marco Amelia.
Ħamrun Spartans will be hoping that the arrival of Trotta can help turn around their fortunes following a disappointing start to the new league campaign. The Spartans suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mosta FC in their opening match last weekend.
The signing represents another significant addition as Ħamrun look to strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead.
