Hamza Abdelkarim Joins Barcelona in Permanent Transfer Until 2029


Barcelona have completed the permanent signing of Egypt forward Hamza Abdelkarim on a three-year contract, the LaLiga club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old joined Barcelona on loan from Al Ahly during the winter transfer window, with the Spanish side holding an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. Abdelkarim impressed during his time with the club’s Under-19 team, scoring six goals in 11 appearances.
In an official statement, Barcelona confirmed that they had informed Al Ahly of their decision to activate the purchase option, with the young Egyptian forward now set to remain at the club until June 30, 2029.
Abdelkarim is currently representing Egypt at the 2026 World Cup, having featured in the team’s opening two matches against Belgium and New Zealand.
