Irvin Cardona gets on the scoresheet as St Etienne maintain perfect start
Irvin Cardona was among the scorers as St Etienne secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Grenoble at home, maintaining their perfect start to the season.
The Maltese international scored St Etienne’s third goal three minutes into first-half stoppage time, further extending his side’s advantage before the break. Cardona was later substituted in the 63rd minute after another impressive contribution to the team’s commanding victory.
St Etienne added a fourth goal to complete a comfortable 4-0 triumph and remain at the top of the table with maximum points from their opening three matches.
The French side have also conceded just one goal so far this season, underlining their strong start both offensively and defensively.
