Malta’s Justine Pace Gasan represented the country as a judge at the EuroHockey U21 Championship II Women 2026, playing an important role in ensuring the successful delivery of one of Europe’s leading youth hockey tournaments.

Her contribution was instrumental in maintaining the high standards of professionalism, organisation and officiating required at international level, helping ensure the smooth running of the competition.

This was not Pace Gasan’s first international appointment. Over the years, she has been entrusted with various assignments organised by both EuroHockey and the International Hockey Federation (FIH), further underlining her experience and standing within the international hockey community.

Through her continued dedication and commitment, Pace Gasan is contributing to the development of hockey officiating while also helping to enhance Malta’s reputation on the international stage.

During the past week, a total of 83 volunteer officials from across Europe were involved in six EuroHockey Under-21 tournaments held in Valencia, Plzeň, Vienna, Salon-de-Provence and Poznań.

The contribution of these officials was essential to the successful staging of the competitions, with their expertise, commitment and professionalism playing a key role throughout the tournaments.

Pace Gasan’s latest international appointment represents another important achievement for Maltese hockey and highlights the growing presence of Maltese officials within European and international competitions.
