Malta’s U16 men’s water polo team produced a memorable performance in Zagreb, edging China 12-11 in a thrilling encounter at the World Aquatics Men’s U16 Water Polo Championships.

In a match that went right down to the wire, Malta showed considerable character to hold off a determined Chinese challenge and open their campaign with a narrow victory.
