Maltese triathlete Graham Borg has extended his impressive run of form by winning the Masters 2 category at the FiTri race series held in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily. Borg completed the sprint triathlon in a new personal season-best time of 1:00:19, securing a commendable 14th place overall out of 154 male competitors.

Direct Success After Grueling French Ironman

This Sicilian victory comes just one week after Borg successfully completed his first full-distance Ironman since returning to competitive racing. Competing in Tours, France, he crossed the finish line in 9 hours and 33 minutes—marking a new personal record and shaving three minutes off his previous lifetime best.

Borg delivered a particularly remarkable performance during the grueling 180-kilometer cycling segment in France, clocking a time of 4 hours and 38 minutes. This stellar bike split propelled him to a brilliant second-place finish within his age category.
