Valletta begin their season against Zabbar, with the reigning FA Trophy champions looking to make a strong start to their campaign.

Following a disappointing European adventure, Valletta will be determined to put that experience behind them and turn their attention to domestic football. The Citizens are expected to challenge for the Premier League title and will be aiming to collect all three points from their opening fixture.

Zabbar, meanwhile, face a difficult season ahead in what is expected to be a highly competitive division. Their main objective will be to secure their place in the top flight, although they will be hoping to cause an upset against one of the league’s leading sides.

Valletta have made several signings during the summer as they look to strengthen their squad. However, further reinforcements are expected, particularly in attack, as they seek to build a squad capable of competing on all fronts.

On paper, Valletta start as clear favourites to claim victory, but Zabbar will be determined to make life difficult for the FA Trophy holders and begin their campaign with a positive result.
