West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has reaffirmed his commitment to the club, insisting his focus remains on helping the Hammers secure an immediate return to the Premier League after their relegation to the Championship.

The 29-year-old England international was part of the West Ham side that suffered relegation on the final day of the 2025–26 season, fuelling speculation over his future amid expected interest from top-flight clubs.

However, speaking in an interview published on the club’s official website on Friday, Bowen made it clear that he has no intention of leaving and is fully committed to leading West Ham’s promotion push.

“My main objective is to help this club get back to the Premier League,” Bowen said. “For me, staying was an easy decision because the vision is clear. We all want to be back in the Premier League.”

Acknowledging the disappointment of relegation, Bowen urged the club to look ahead rather than dwell on the past.

“We know how difficult the situation has been, and we all share the frustration of what happened,” he added. “But that’s behind us now. Our focus is on the season ahead, and our goal is to earn promotion straight back to the Premier League.”

Bowen joined West Ham United from Hull City in January 2020 and has since established himself as one of the club’s most influential players. The England international has made 280 appearances for the Hammers, scoring 85 goals, and was appointed club captain in 2024 following Kurt Zouma’s departure.

At international level, the 29-year-old has earned 22 caps for England. However, he was overlooked by head coach Thomas Tuchel for this summer’s FIFA World Cup squad.

West Ham will begin their Championship campaign away to Burnley on August 16, with Bowen expected to lead the club’s bid for an immediate return to the Premier League.
