The Marsa Racetrack hosted its 33rd and 34th meetings of the season between Friday evening and Sunday evening. The standout highlights of the weekend were three short-distance finals (2,140m) dedicated to French trotters: the Premier class Prix De Vincennes, the Gold class Prix d’Enghien, and the Bronze class Prix De Cagnes Sur Mer. These prestigious races were won by Hudo Du Ruel, Doudou De Bouere, and Kamila Des Monts, respectively.

Hudo Du Ruel Dominates the Premier Class Final

Twelve horses lined up for the highly anticipated Premier class final. As expected, Hudo Du Ruel, driven by Rodney Gatt, showed exceptional strength behind the starting gate, immediately establishing a narrow lead over Favici Pasmarick (Kurt Saliba) and Heros Des Mottes (Cherise Farrugia).

Hudo Du Ruel maintained a highly consistent pace throughout the entire distance, cruising to a comfortable two-length victory ahead of Heros Des Mottes and Forbach (Redent Magro). Gold Dairpet (Marco Refalo) and Farmer Keryvon (Jesmar Gafa’) also secured solid placements. The winning horse clocked an impressive average time of 1’12” per kilometer.

First Victory for Doudou De Bouere in Gold Final

The Gold class final saw Doudou De Bouere, driven by Jean Claude Pace, secure his first win of the season. Pace picked up the tempo 500 meters from the finish line, successfully overtaking the race favorite, Far West De Chenu (Rodney Gatt), in the final stretches of the race. Heiko Vanceen (Noel Baldacchino) crossed the line in third place, followed by Hope (Charles Camilleri) and First Des Charrons (Redent Magro).

Kamila Des Monts Leads from Start to Finish in Bronze Final

In the Bronze class final, Kamila Des Monts, driven by Cherise Farrugia, controlled the race from the front. Leading the pack the entire time, she managed to cross the finish line a length ahead of Java D’Urzy (Paul Galea) and Ilet De La Mitrie (Rodney Gatt). Hermes Du Pressoir (Laura Frendo) and Goldenboy De Chenu (Clint Vassallo) followed closely behind to round out the top five.
