Hamrun Spartans Football Club has officially announced that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Giacomo Modica by mutual consent.
The decision brings an unexpected end to a highly memorable tenure, with the club expressing deep regret over the departure.
A Historic Milestone in Maltese Football
The club announced the separation with immense pain and disappointment, noting Modica’s indelible mark on the team’s history. Coach Modica will forever hold a special place in the club’s folklore for his monumental achievement in European competition.
Under his leadership, the Spartans secured a historic qualification to the Group Phase of the UEFA Conference League—marking the first time any Maltese football club has ever reached the proper group stages of a major UEFA competition.
