Isaac Borg registered an impressive victory over Matthew Calleja in the CE Installations Premier League as the latest round of local snooker competitions produced a series of convincing results across the various divisions.

Borg emerged victorious by four frames to one in the Premier League encounter, although Calleja produced one of the highlights of the latest fixtures with a break of 60, the highest break reported from the matches.

Despite Calleja’s contribution, Borg secured a comfortable victory to continue his campaign in Malta’s top snooker division.

In the Goliath Coatings First Division, Peter Pace edged Joseph Attard 3-2 in one of the closest encounters of the round.

The match went the full five frames before Pace eventually prevailed to secure a hard-fought victory.

Clinton Falzon enjoyed a more straightforward outing in the same division, recording a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Shaun Deguara.

In the Second Division, Gabriel Farrugia produced an impressive performance to defeat Chris Cauchi 3-0, completing a clean sweep of frames.

The Third Division also produced a one-sided result as Steve Cassar registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Kyle Azzopardi.

Meanwhile, in the Masters competition, Ivan Attard maintained his winning form with a comfortable 3-0 success against Emanuel Mallia.

The latest results reflected another competitive round of domestic snooker, with several players securing important victories as the league competitions continued.
