Attard and Castaldi among early leaders in Malta Blackball Championship
As the second day of the Malta Blackball Championship, organised by the Malta Blackball Pool Federation, was played yesterday, defending champion Johan Attard won his first two matches.
The Cospicua Rangers player defeated Lee Grima 6-1 and Brandon Bonnici 6-2 to move into first place in the standings.
Meanwhile, 2022 winner Clayton Castaldi also won his first two matches, recording positive results of 6-1 and 6-2 against Neil Caruana and Kerstin Vella respectively.
Meanwhile, Jed Abela, Miguel Mizzi, Wayne Pace, Ryan Pisani, Jason Mangion and Scott Muscat are also at the top of their respective groups after winning their first two matches.
The semi-finals of the competition will be played on Monday, 14 September, while the final will take place the following day, Tuesday, 15 September.
