Balzan and Birżebbuġa, the two newly promoted sides, face each other in an important Malta Premier encounter as both teams look to achieve their respective objectives.

Balzan will be aiming to maintain their place among the top six, having made a positive start to the campaign. They come into this match on the back of an impressive victory over Gżira United, where they showed great character to turn the game around and claim all three points. Balzan trailed for much of the match before two penalties in the final eight minutes completed a dramatic comeback.

Birżebbuġa, meanwhile, will be desperate to get their first points of the season. They have suffered defeats in each of their opening three matches, most recently losing 2-1 to Sliema Wanderers. Despite the results, they will see this fixture as a valuable opportunity to get their campaign back on track.

With Balzan looking to consolidate their position in the top half and Birżebbuġa searching for their first points, this encounter between the two promoted teams promises to be a competitive affair, with both sides having plenty to play for.
