Birżebbuġa, Neptunes BGM, and San Ġiljan MAA Daikin all registered convincing victories as the BOV Summer League continued with three matches played on Wednesday evening.

Birżebbuġa 19-14 Marsaskala Fish & Fish

Birżebbuġa produced a strong all-round display to defeat Marsaskala Fish & Fish 19-14 in the First Division.

The sides were level at 3-3 after the opening quarter before Birżebbuġa seized control with a 6-2 second-quarter performance to establish a 9-5 halftime lead. Marsaskala reduced the deficit by winning the third session 4-3, but Birżebbuġa finished strongly, outscoring their opponents 7-5 in the final quarter to secure the win.

Marko Radulović starred with seven goals, while Max Aquilina added five for Birżebbuġa. Dimitrios Dimou was Marsaskala’s top scorer with six goals.

Neptunes BGM 25-9 Valletta Peak Insurance Brokers

In the Premier Division, Neptunes BGM dominated from start to finish as they cruised to a comprehensive 25-9 victory over Valletta Peak Insurance Brokers.

Neptunes raced into a 6-2 first-quarter lead and never looked back, extending their advantage to 13-3 at halftime before adding six goals in both the third and fourth quarters to complete an emphatic victory.

Captain Stevie Camilleri led the scoring with six goals, while Marco Zuvela contributed five. Ken Erdogan was Valletta’s leading marksman with three goals.

San Ġiljan MAA Daikin 24-17 Exiles Welbees

San Ġiljan MAA Daikin rounded off the evening with a 24-17 win over Exiles Welbees.

San Ġiljan established an early 8-4 lead after the opening quarter before Exiles responded to trail 12-10 at halftime. The defending champions regained control in the second half, winning the third quarter 4-2 and the fourth 8-5 to seal a deserved seven-goal victory.

Jake Muscat Melito, Matthew Zammit, and Nikolai Zammit each scored four goals for San Ġiljan, while Konstantin Averka impressed for Exiles with a match-high seven goals.

The results strengthen the positions of Birżebbuġa, Neptunes BGM, and San Ġiljan MAA Daikin as the BOV Summer League continues to gather momentum.
