Farrugia Names Malta Squad for Inaugural Water Polo 4×4 Open Championships
National team head coach Anthony Farrugia has officially selected the players who will represent Team Malta in the world’s newest water polo format.
The squad is set to take the global stage at the upcoming inaugural Water Polo 4×4 Open Championships. The tournament runs from August 31 to September 6, 2026, in the historic water polo hub of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
This highly anticipated event marks the first-ever global showcase of four-on-four water polo. The fast-paced, high-energy format is designed to bring a fresh, dynamic edge to the traditional sport.
