Kylian Mbappé further cemented his status as a World Cup legend, netting a brilliant brace to propel France past Sweden in a comfortable 3-0 Round of 32 victory at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

A First-Half Attacking Masterclass

Buoyed by a flawless group-stage campaign, Les Bleus put on an offensive clinic in a scintillating opening 45 minutes. The two-time World Cup winners relentlessly bombarded the Swedish defense, unleashing 15 attempts on goal before the interval.

Mbappé had an early effort ruled out for offside and rattled the woodwork with another, while Michael Olise came agonizingly close with a spectacular overhead kick that crashed violently against the frame of the goal.
